What you'll do

Notting Hill Genesis, one of London's largest housing associations, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our thriving Information, Systems & Change team. As an Analytics Engineer, you'll transform raw data into actionable insights that support NHG's mission to create thriving communities. Your role involves designing data solutions that enhance decision-making, improve resident services, and ensure operational efficiency, directly impacting how NHG manages housing data and empowering teams to deliver better outcomes for our residents.

How you'll do it

• Build and maintain robust ETL processes using Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) to ingest, cleanse, and transform data for analytical use cases.
• Own NHG's Power BI platform, optimizing its security, performance, and structure to deliver intuitive dashboards for stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop data products aligned with business goals, applying medallion architecture to create enterprise-grade datasets.
• Implement rigorous testing and monitoring to ensure data accuracy, uptime, and compliance with ethical and privacy standards.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for non-technical audiences, fostering trust in NHG's data-driven strategies.

We're seeking an Analytics Engineer who combines technical expertise with a passion for social impact. You will bring:

• A BSc in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (or a diploma in a relevant field).
• Proficiency in Azure data services (Data Lake, SQL Database, Synapse) and SQL, with experience designing data pipelines and medallion architectures.
• Hands-on experience managing Power BI implementations and troubleshooting data transformation processes.

Desirable:

• Experience in agile project management practices.
• Good awareness of acceptance testing, data management, database administration, and design.
• Knowledge of technology management such as release and deployment; familiarity with version control systems like Git.
