Job summary

Arthur is seeking an Outwards Reinsurance Purchasing Actuary to shape the reinsurance strategy for a major insurer. The role focuses on designing, optimizing and monitoring outwards reinsurance treaties across diverse portfolios and markets.

You will lead placement of proportional and excess of loss treaties, partner with actuarial, risk, finance and brokers, and build strong market relationships under a senior actuary's guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimise and monitor performance of outwards reinsurance treaties.
• Lead design and placement of Proportional and Excess of loss treaties across property, casualty and specialty portfolios.
• Evaluation of effectiveness of reinsurance structures, ensuring alignment of risk appetite, capital management objectives, UW strategy and market conditions.
• Partnering closely with Actuarial, Risk, MI, Finance and external brokers to deliver data driven reinsurance solutions that protect earnings, manage volatility and optimise return on capital.
• Develop strong relationships with market leading brokers, reinsurers and investor partners.
• Reporting into and with support from an incredibly impressive senior actuary who has heaps of experience in this vibrant part of the market.

We have partnered with a global giant of Re/Insurance to find them a Outwards Reinsurance Actuary. This is a great opportunity for an Actuary with previous experience in Reinsurance from a Capital, Pricing or broking perspective to come in and shape Reinsurance strategy for a large organisation. The role includes:
