Arthur Financial is seeking an Outwards Reinsurance Purchasing Actuary to shape the reinsurance strategy for a large organisation. You will design and place proportional and excess of loss treaties across property, casualty and specialty portfolios, collaborating with actuaries, risk, finance and brokers to optimise earnings and capital.

The role offers exposure to strategic decision making in a dynamic market, with a focus on data-driven solutions and robust governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in reinsurance from a capital, pricing or broking perspective.
• Ability to design, optimise and monitor outwards reinsurance treaties.
• Strong collaboration with actuaries, risk, finance and brokers.

• Design, optimise and monitor performance of outwards reinsurance treaties.
• Lead the design and placement of Proportional and Excess of loss treaties across property, casualty and specialty portfolios.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of reinsurance structures, ensuring alignment of risk appetite, capital management objectives, UW strategy and market conditions.
• Partner closely with Actuarial, Risk, MI, Finance and external brokers to deliver data driven reinsurance solutions.
• Develop strong relationships with market leading brokers, reinsurers and investor partners.
• Report into and with support from an experienced senior actuary.

Outwards Reinsurance Purchasing Actuary Opportunity

We have partnered with a global giant of Re/Insurance to find them a Outwards Reinsurance Actuary. This is a great opportunity for an Actuary with previous experience in Reinsurance from a Capital, Pricing or broking perspective to come in and shape Reinsurance strategy for a large organisation.

• Design, optimise and monitor performance of outwards reinsurance treaties. Lead the design and placement of Proportional and Excess of loss treaties across property, casualty and specialty portfolios.
• Evaluation of effectiveness of reinsurance structures, ensuring alignment of risk appetite, capital management objectives, UW strategy and market conditions.
• Partnering closely with Actuarial, Risk, MI, Finance and external brokers to deliver data driven reinsurance solutions that protect earnings, manage volatility and optimise return on capital.
• Develop strong relationships with market leading brokers, reinsurers and investor partners.
• Reporting into and with support from an incredibly impressive senior actuary who has heaps of experience in this vibrant part of the market.
