Job description

Role Overview

We are currently looking for an Analytical Team Lead to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Leicestershire area. As the Analytical Team Lead, you will be responsible for executing a first-rate raw materials testing service supporting intricate pharmaceutical projects. You will also provide technical leadership, management, and coaching for operational analytical teams. Additionally, you will oversee the advancement of analytical work in accordance with cGMP regulations, ensure project deadlines are met, work is completed accurately and efficiently, and regularly update the head of department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create and design the analytical strategy for the raw materials testing function.
2. Prepare regulatory CMC Dossier sections.
3. Train and oversee the performance of Analytical Lab Leaders, Senior Analysts, and Junior Analysts.
4. Implement and monitor systems/processes within the Laboratory to ensure cGMP compliance and efficient delivery of PDS projects. Drive necessary changes to improve systems and processes.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. A relevant degree in a chemistry-related discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in development activities for drug development within a GMP environment.
3. Practical knowledge and experience managing an analytical chemistry function/facility in the pharmaceutical industry.
