Job summary

Eurofins PSS is recruiting multiple Analytical Scientists to provide on-site analytical support at the Wirral-based Bristol Myers Squibb Moreton facility. Roles span from recent graduates to experienced scientists, employed by Eurofins PSS and supporting services delivered to the client on site.

This permanent full-time position offers a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday, and emphasizes high-quality analytical work, GMP compliance, and collaboration with client teams to ensure seamless service

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry; GMP experience may substitute.
  • Strong analytical chemistry knowledge with HPLC, Dissolution, Karl Fischer and UV.
  • Pharmaceutical testing lab experience, preferably solid dose, in GMP.
  • Experience with ELNs, LIMS and data documentation best practices.
  • Proactive, independent, team-oriented with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine analysis of pharmaceutical products using HPLC, Dissolution, and Karl Fischer.
  • Support technology transfers for new products to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Contribute to analytical development and validation activities.
  • Review data for GMP compliance and respond to OOS results and action limits.
  • Document data according to client policies and prepare results for testing.
  • Maintain productivity metrics and support audits, method revisions, and QC testing.
  • Liaise with client representatives and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

Eurofins PSS is recruiting for multiple Analytical Scientists with a range of experiences from recent Graduates to Experienced Scientists to provide on‑site analytical support as a Eurofins Managed PSS Scientist, based at the Bristol Myers Squibb Moreton facility in the Wirral.

This position is a fully employed Analytical Scientist by Eurofins PSS, supportingservices delivered to our client on their site.

This role is not employment with Bristol Myers Squibb and Bristol Myers Squibb does not manage the recruitment or employment terms for this position.

This is a permanent full-time position, working a flexible 35 hour week, Monday - Friday.

Job Responsibilities
  • You will perform routine and non-routine analysis of pharmaceutical products using a range of analytical techniques (primarily HPLC, Dissolution, and Karl Fischer).
  • You will support technology transfers for new products entering the team, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment with client procedures.
  • Support in some analytical development and validation activities.
  • You will review analytical data for GMP compliance and initiate or follow up on OOS results and action limits when required.
  • You will document data in accordance with current client policies and procedures and prepare/approve results for tests in which you are trained and deemed competent.
  • You will maintain productivity through agreed metrics (e.g. test numbers, cycle times) and support audits, method revisions, and testing of QC samples.
  • You will liaise with client representatives, provide updates to designated personnel, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work flexibly in line with business needs.
Qualifications
  • You will have a degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline; significant experience in GMP environments may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
  • You will possess a strong working knowledge of analytical chemistry, with specific knowledge and experience of high performance liquid chromatography and other modern analytical techniques.
  • The role requires previous relevant experience within a pharmaceutical testing laboratory (preferably solid dose) and competence with techniques such as HPLC, Dissolution, Karl Fischer and UV.
  • Experience of working within a GMP environment, interpreting raw data, troubleshooting analytical or instrumental issues, and completing documentation accurately, is required.
  • You are capable of working with electronic laboratory systems (ELNs, LIMS) and MS Office applications, and you can work proactively, independently, and as part of a team.
  • You are flexible in your approach, able to switch priorities at short notice, and motivated to contribute ideas to improve existing processes.
  • You will be passionate about quality and customer service, consistently striving to meet or exceed expectations while supporting the delivery of a high‑performing laboratory service.
  • You will demonstrate strong communication skills, both internally and externally, ensuring clear, professional and timely interactions with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
