Job summary

Campden BRI is seeking an Analytical Laboratory Operations Co-ordinator to help keep our laboratory running smoothly, balancing hands-on testing with workflow coordination. You will work with analysts and technicians to prioritise samples, monitor workloads and ensure results are delivered within agreed timescales.

The role involves coordinating extraction and testing schedules, supporting equipment maintenance for GC, Mass Spectrometry, HPLC and ICP systems, and ensuring compliance with ISO

Qualifications

• Degree in analytical science or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2–3 years' lab experience, ideally in food testing.
• Experience coordinating lab workflows and turnarounds.
• Experience with GC, MS, HPLC or ICP.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory workflows to meet turnaround times.
• Prioritise daily workloads and minimise late results.
• Assist in sample preparation, analysis and testing.
• Schedule extraction and testing to optimise lab resources.
• Monitor performance and identify process improvements.
• Support equipment maintenance across analytical systems.
• Ensure results and certificates align with ISO 17025.
• Liaise with clients on testing and enquiries.
• Assist with stock control and hygiene standards.
