Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an Analytical Development Scientist for a permanent role based in Wirral, Merseyside. You will join a pharmaceutical development team, supporting analytical method development and non-routine testing.

The ideal candidate holds a Chemistry degree, has pharma experience, and understands analytical techniques including HPLC, GC and mass spectrometry. Flexible Monday–Friday hours are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related field; relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience within a pharmaceutical environment is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and chromatographic techniques required.
• Experience with HPLC, GC and/or mass spectrometry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out analytical testing of pharmaceutical materials including APIs.
• Support analytical method development and proof-of-concept validation.
• Use techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC and mass spectrometry.
• Assist technology transfers for new substances.
• Review analytical data and investigate out-of-specification results.
