Job Description
The Role:

Manage the reporting of testing data daily to ensure customer deadlines are met. This involves coordinating with the laboratory to receive, collate, and input analytical data into technical reports in a timely manner.

Main duties:
  1. Responsible for writing test reports and working with the testing team to deliver reports on time or early where possible.
    • Liaise with analytical chemists to collate analytical test data for all customer reports.
    • Check data for suitability and apply uncertainty of measurement/decision rules when appropriate.
    • Check the data against the customer specifications to ensure suitability.
    • Liaise with external partner laboratories to obtain data to achieve internal deadlines.
  2. Check customer test requests before scheduling the work for testing.
  3. Identify potential issues in meeting customer expectations and escalate when necessary.
  4. Coordinate with other report writers to ensure on-time or early delivery.
  5. Perform other duties to support the testing team and the business.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
  • Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a relevant subject, with experience in leather, textiles, chemical industry, or working in a chemical testing laboratory.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, capable of working under pressure.
  • Commitment to high standards of precision, accuracy, and record-keeping to maintain ISO 17025 accreditation.
  • Ability to multi-task and plan work effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); experience with data management systems like CRMs and LIMS is a plus.
  • Flexible to work additional hours when needed.
