Job summary

Almac Group in Craigavon, Northern Ireland is seeking an Analytical Chemist Placement Student. The 37.5-hour week runs Monday to Friday. You will join the Analytical team and contribute to method development, validation, release and stability testing for drug substances/products.

You will learn multiple analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, LC-MS, NMR, FTIR, UV) with formal GMP training, guided by in-house experts, and may undertake a placement or research project as part of your degree.

Qualifications

• GCSE (5 passes) in Mathematics and English Language.
• Currently studying an Analytical based degree with 2 years completed by end of this academic year and overall ≥60%.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analytical activities related to drug substances/products.
• Participate in method development and validation, release testing and stability testing.
• Gain experience in techniques such as HPLC, GC, IC, LC-MS, NMR, FTIR and UV.
• Complete a placement project as required by degree course or Analytical Management Team.
• Learn GMP procedures and adhere to Almac quality policies and procedures.
