Job summary

Intertek in the Melbourn laboratory is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our Technical Team. You will support the preparation and analysis of samples, gain exposure to a range of analytical techniques, and contribute to high-quality client projects.

This role offers structured development, practical lab skill building, and guidance from experienced scientists in a regulated environment. Degree in Chemistry or related discipline is required.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry or related science.
• Lab experience from industry, placement, or projects.
• Understanding analytical lab practices and principles.
• Follow established methods with accuracy.
• Strong organizational and workload management.
• Good problem solving and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Competent IT skills including MS Office.
• Safe, quality-focused lab work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse samples using established analytical techniques.
• Follow SOPs and laboratory procedures.
• Generate accurate, reliable analytical data.
• Record results with quality and data integrity.
