Job summary

Mercor is assembling a panel of chemistry and chemical safety experts to red-team frontier AI models. You will write challenging prompts at three levels: benign, dual-use, and adversarial, and judge model responses against a policy standard.

The role emphasises rigorous written rationale and staying within ethical boundaries. You will also craft reference answers with reasoning and participate in ongoing evaluation of misuse scenarios in your field.

Qualifications

• This is writing-intensive work requiring clear rationales that non-specialists can follow.
• Candidates with background in hazardous compounds and red-teaming experience are preferred.
• Experience in detection and identification of hazardous compounds is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging prompts across benign, dual-use, and adversarial categories.
• Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard.
