Job summary

Netflix Studios UK Limited, based in London, is seeking a talented Tax Analyst to join the UK tax team. You will support day-to-day UK tax operations, provide planning and structuring advice, and work with production finance and accounting teams across the business.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in UK tax consulting or industry roles, with strong Excel skills and a hands-on mindset. Travel overseas may be required; Netflix values collaboration, autonomy, and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountancy or Chartered Tax qualification.
• 3–4 years UK tax consulting or industry experience.
• Experience in corporate tax advisory and international tax is a plus.
• Experience related to studio productions is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication with external advisors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate corporate tax compliance and reporting with internal and external teams.
• Contribute to corporate tax planning and advisory projects in the UK.
• Communicate with HMRC on compliance matters as needed.
• Research UK production incentives and assist with claims and testing.
• Provide tax support to production finance and accounting teams (VAT, PAYE, NIC, etc).
• Maintain UK risk and control documentation and matrix.
• Collaborate across EMEA tax compliance, finance and production teams.
• Monitor tax legislation changes and advise on impact.

We are looking for a talented Tax Analyst to join our tax team in London to support the day-to-day tax operations of, and provide tax planning and structuring support to, Netflix's growing business in London, which includes Netflix’s largest production hub outside of UCAN. The ideal candidate will join our UK-based tax team and have excellent organisational and collaborative communication skills. They will also possess a strong attention to detail and a hands-on mentality. Key Responsibilities

• Corporate tax compliance and reporting: Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal tax compliance and financial reporting teams to perform a first review of UK statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and ensure UK incentive administrative compliance.
• Corporate tax planning and advisory: Contribute to corporate tax advisory projects which support our business as it continues to grow and develop in the UK.
• Communication with HMRC: Together with the rest of the team, assist in communication with HMRC, whether on general compliance matters or responding to questions.
• Production Incentives: Research and understand UK and international film and television production incentives, such as the Audio Visual Expenditure Credit in the UK. Collaborate with the UK tax team to assist with evaluating and applying for production incentives including British cultural test applications, incentive estimates and tracking of our incentive claims.
• Production Tax Support: Provide support and advice on UK tax matters to our production finance and production accounting teams, including UK VAT, PAYE, National Insurance Contributions, obligations under off-payroll worker rules and taxation of foreign entertainers (FEU).
• Risk Management: Assist with maintenance of our UK Risk & Control Matrix
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal teams, including EMEA tax compliance, financial reporting, production finance, production legal and physical production teams. Liaise with the content accounting team on financial reporting of incentives.
• Research and Documentation: Research complex tax issues and prepare technical documentation. Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise on their impact on Netflix’s operations, keeping business partners informed clearly and concisely.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements across tax compliance, reporting and advisory to enhance efficiency and accuracy. We are always keen to improve!

Candidate Profile

Chartered Accountancy or Chartered Tax qualification Individuals who have recently qualified and are working towards the level of senior/ assistant manager in an accountancy practice or studio are likely to be suited to this unique challenge. Recommended 3 to 4 years of UK tax consulting or industry experience. Experience in corporate tax preferred - Experience in corporate tax advisory, international tax, US inbound companies, or transfer pricing would be an advantage. Experience in tax issues relating to studio productions would be helpful, but is not required. You embrace and advocate Netflix values. Flexible to collaborate across multiple time zones and willing to travel overseas. Proficient in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets, with experience navigating large data sets.
