Job summary

NewDay is seeking a Senior Reconciliation Analyst to join our Finance Operations in a hybrid Leeds role. You will own complex reconciliations, support stakeholders, and drive automation and process improvements to strengthen controls and reduce risk.

You’ll work with the Reconciliation Manager to deliver daily to monthly reconciliations, improve match rates, and develop team capability across products and platforms. This role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform complex GL and balance sheet reconciliations within a controlled environment.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse large data sets.
• Understanding of month-end processes and balance sheet controls.
• Ability to map end-to-end processes and drive automation opportunities.
• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent by experience (QBE).

Responsibilities

• You'll deliver daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation activities.
• You'll analyse performance metrics, identify reconciliation risks and resolve outstanding items.
• You'll act as a subject matter expert for reconciliations across the business.
• You'll partner with Finance Systems to enhance ReconNet performance and automate matching.
• You'll drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
