Job summary

SSE PLC is seeking an Analyst to join a team delivering a Service Management framework and practical insights across the value chain. You will turn performance data into actionable insights to support decisions, improvements and digital experiences.

You will identify information sources, analyse trends, coordinate inputs and track actions, enabling cross-team understanding within communities of practice and governance forums. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of service management and how value is delivered across multiple teams and functions.
• Experience using quantitative and qualitative information to understand performance and drive improvements.
• Ability to work independently within a team and prioritise workload using agile planning methods.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the business.
• Strong written, verbal and facilitation skills to explain insights clearly.

Responsibilities

• Identify service performance information needs and align reporting requirements for an integrated reporting roadmap.
• Plan, prioritise and deliver regular trend-based analysis with clear reports for various governance forums.
• Interpret analysis outputs with stakeholders to identify issues, assess risks and shape improvement actions.
• Track performance trends and improvement activity, presenting progress and evidence through governance forums.
• Support wider service strategy and performance activity including governance, reporting quality and engagement content.

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Reading, Havant, Glasgow or Perth

Salary: £50,964 - £60,899 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

This role forms part of a team that designs, develops and delivers a Service Management framework, with a focus on enhancing the end-to-end service value chain.

As an Analyst, you will help turn service performance information from key points across the value chain into clear, practical insight that supports decision-making, continual improvement, and an improved digital experience.

You will help identify information sources, analyse trends, prepare reporting inputs, co-ordinate contributions, track actions, and support shared understanding across teams and communities of practice.

You will

• Performance Information Identification: Identify service performance information needs, align reporting requirements and support a roadmap for integrated Service Performance reporting.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Plan, prioritise and deliver regular and targeted trend-based analysis, preparing clear reports and communications for different audiences and governance forums.
• Actionable Insight: Work with stakeholders to interpret analysis outputs, identify issues, assess risks and shape clear improvement actions.
• Performance Tracking & Monitoring: Track performance trends and improvement activity, presenting progress, outcomes and supporting evidence through appropriate governance forums.
• Wider Service Strategy & Performance Activity: Support wider activity, including tracking actions, co-ordinating inputs, supporting communities of practice, contributing to governance forums, supporting reporting quality and preparing engagement content.

You have

• An understanding of service management principles, with an appreciation of how value is delivered across multiple teams and functions.

• Experience using quantitative and qualitative information to understand performance, draw practical conclusions and support practical improvement.
• While part of a team, the ability to work independently and prioritise own workload, utilising agile methods to approach work planning and execution
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and team members across the broader business
• Strong written, verbal and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain insight clearly and support stakeholder decision-making.
