Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Investment Analysis Analyst to turn complex information into actionable recommendations for hotel development opportunities. You will research markets, build P&L projections, and support investment decisions by delivering clear analyses for committees.

You’ll coordinate approvals, collaborate across functions, and contribute to ongoing reporting and strategic initiatives within the Growth and Development teams.

Qualifications

• A hotel school qualification or bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Finance, Business, Economics or a relevant subject.
• Strong analytical and numerical approach with ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with hotel performance metrics and P&L statements, plus understanding of hotel ownership and business models.
• Knowledge of financial valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to keep analysis and approvals on track.
• Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in an additional European language is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Assess opportunities by researching markets, reviewing hotel assets and analysing comparable properties to inform feasibility of proposed developments.
• Build and evaluate hotel profit and loss projections; value contracts against deal terms; identify key risks and opportunities.
• Develop clear analysis for committee papers; align projections with relevant teams; highlight considerations to support decisions.
• Coordinate committee papers, agendas, e-approvals and minutes; ensure timely, complete submissions with financial insight.
• Collaborate with Development, Design, Legal, Operations, Commercial and Finance teams; guide Development on approvals required.
• Contribute to reporting, audits, ad-hoc analysis and special projects; improve efficiency and quality of team work.

Working with our Development organisation and colleagues across the Growth function, you'll assess new opportunities and support the retention and renewal of existing hotels. • Keep approvals moving. Coordinate committee papers, agendas, e-approvals and minutes, ensuring submissions are timely, complete and supported by relevant financial insight.
• Connect across the business. Partner with Development, Design, Legal, Operations, Commercial and Finance colleagues, and guide Development teams on the approvals required for each opportunity.
• Make the process better. Contribute to reporting, audit activities, ad-hoc analysis and special projects, while helping improve the efficiency and quality of the team's work.
