Business Unit
Infrastructure Structured Financing is a key component of global economic growth and one of the core pillars within NIBC Corporate Banking. We provide financing solutions to companies active in the infrastructure sector with increasing focus on “Infrastructure for the future” – digital; fibre B2C & B2B and Data Centre financing. The London team is responsible for originating, structuring, executing and monitoring of the lending transactions within NIBC’s core geographies (with the main focus of the London team on the UK, Republic of Ireland and Southern Europe).
Purpose
As an Analyst you will form an integral part of the Infrastructure franchise. You will be primarily responsible for assisting in end-to-end execution of new complex transactions and portfolio management activities. In addition, you will make meaningful contributions to the deal origination process (including market, peer, business, operational and structural analysis) and help grow and enhance NIBC’s presence within the sector. You will also actively support regular maintenance of the infrastructure portfolio, assuring compliance with NIBCs credit policy (including annual reviews, internal rating, financial analysis, waivers and amendments).

Key Accountabilities
Assist with execution of lending mandates across digital infrastructure, as part of a deal team;
Responsible for portfolio management related matters for designated clients of the business unit;
Prepare internal documents such as credit reviews, waiver/amendments and other ad hoc analysis, as required, in a timely and efficient manner;
Assist in preparation of pitches to existing and prospective clients;
Play a role in the due diligence process;
Involvement and attendance at lender meetings and site visits, and relevant conferences;
Maintain strong relationships with our partners and the senior management of companies under coverage; Work with various internal systems as part of the portfolio management process. These include: Know-Your-Customer checks, internal rating tools, Risk Adjusted Return models;
Communicating by phone, e-mail and in person with colleagues relevant to deal execution, including(Credit) Risk, Treasury, Transaction (Credit) Committee, Legal and Operations;
Close stakeholder cooperation with other colleagues in the UK and the Netherlands, across all functions, including attendance at team meetings;

Knowledge and Skills
Relevant experience with a finance, business management, economics or engineering based degree or professional qualification;
Relevant experience in Infrastructure finance is preferred but not required;
Knowledge of financial and project documentation structures;
Credit, numerical and analytical analysis skills;
Capable of working well within a multi-disciplined team;
Ability to work on and take responsibility for several projects simultaneously;
Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills;
Team player;
Good negotiation skills and the ability to make difficult decisions;
Good time management skills: Project and time management ability;
High standards of professional conduct;
High standards of written and verbal skills;
Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
