Job summary

ALS is hiring a Grade 3 Analyst for the Inorganics department in Coventry. You will perform sample analyses, report data, and support the team with training and compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires scientific GCSEs, science-focused A levels, and strong communication and collaborative skills. The position is full-time with standby during bank holidays and a salary of £26,878 per year.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent or above including Science, Maths and English.
• A level or equivalent in a scientific subject.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements.
• Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
• Deliver on key performance indicators.
• Report analytical data.
• Troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues, including daily preventative maintenance.
• Investigate and report on NCW on the QMS and assign priority.
• Assist team members to achieve work objectives, including training colleagues to the required standards.
• Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures

Analyst - Grade 3 - Inorganics

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grade 3 Analyst to join the Inorganics department at ALS in Coventry, West Midlands.

Tuesday to Saturday (08:00 - 16:00). Due to emergency cover requirements for one of our major clients, the successful candidate will be expected to be on standby for all bank holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Good Friday.

The Day to Day

• Understand customer requirements.
