Position Overview

Apollo is seeking an Analyst to join its European CLO Portfolio Management team to focus on the analysis and monitoring of investments in the portfolio. This role will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to interface with multiple aspects of the business and gain exposure to primary market tracking and investing, secondary market trading, bespoke transactions, portfolio management and fund level monitoring/reporting, as well as marketing and investor relations.

Position Overview

Apollo is seeking an Analyst to join its European CLO Portfolio Management team to focus on the analysis and monitoring of investments in the portfolio. This role will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to interface with multiple aspects of the business and gain exposure to primary market tracking and investing, secondary market trading, bespoke transactions, portfolio management and fund level monitoring/reporting, as well as marketing and investor relations.

Primary Responsibilities

• This person will work closely with the PMs, Structuring team, Trading and Operations teams. They will sit within the PM team and assist with CLO monitoring, analytics, optimisation and management
• To be suitable you will need to have a good understanding of CLOs and day to day experience with them
• Assist with daily portfolio monitoring and understand the impact that trades, repricing’s, extensions, and rating changes have on the tests
• Work closely with the Operations teams on cash requirements, the review of monthly/quarterly reports and closing tie-outs
• During the warehouse stage you will be responsible for refreshing model portfolios and tracking ramp stats to provide updates to the PMs and Structuring team
• Following new issue pipeline and managing asset approvals with warehouse banks
• Liaising with the ESG team and Credit Analysts to ensure that ESG scorecards are in place for all new names
• Running hypothetical test scenarios covering the potential impact of trades and rating changes on test results
• Ensuring that all trades have been booked and are correctly reflecting in the systems, working with the Traders to solve any booking issues
• Preparing ad-hoc information requests for Portfolio Managers and helping to formulate/collate responses to Investor questions
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in structured credit, fixed income, or similar/relevant roles
• Knowledge of the CLO market, including documentation, modelling, and deal analysis preferred
• Undergraduate degree with a record of academic achievement
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Python and SQL experience a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Robust interpersonal skills to support communication with external counterparties and management of internal stakeholders, both within Credit ecosystem and across broader investment platform
• Excels in a rigorous and fast-paced team-oriented work environment; adept at managing competing priorities across multiple projects, transactions, and workstreams.
