About Us

ORE Catapult is the UK's leading technology innovation and research centre for offshore renewable energy. We work with industry, academia and government to accelerate the development of offshore wind, wave and tidal energy technologies, helping to deliver a sustainable, low-carbon future.

The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Analyst to join our Analysis & Insights team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, research and market intelligence whilst engaging with stakeholders across the offshore wind sector. You'll play a key role in maintaining and developing analytical tools, datasets and knowledge resources that support decision-making across the business.

The role will also support the delivery of international market development activities through the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) MAB3 programme. Working closely with colleagues across ORE Catapult, DBT representatives and international stakeholders, you'll help identify opportunities for UK businesses, support market access activities and contribute to the growth of the global offshore wind sector.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Maintaining and enhancing datasets, models and analytical tools used by the Analysis & Insights team.
  • Monitoring offshore renewable energy markets and identifying key developments, trends and opportunities across the sector.
  • Conducting research and analysis to support projects, reports, market intelligence and client-facing outputs.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge resources, ensuring information remains accurate, accessible and up to date.
  • Building effective relationships across ORE Catapult to gather, validate and manage data and market intelligence.
  • Supporting the delivery of international market development activities through the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) MAB3 programme.
  • Working with DBT representatives, embassies, international stakeholders and industry partners to support offshore wind market growth and UK export opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining country-level scopes, delivery plans and stakeholder engagement activities for assigned international markets.
  • Supporting inward and outward trade missions, stakeholder events and market access initiatives, helping showcase UK offshore wind expertise globally.
  • Maintaining stakeholder records, action logs, delivery evidence and programme information to support reporting, audit and funding requirements.
  • Monitoring progress against agreed activities and milestones, identifying risks and escalating issues where appropriate.
About You

You’ll be a proactive, organised and intellectually curious individual who enjoys working with data, solving problems and turning information into meaningful insights. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working collaboratively across teams and engaging confidently with a range of stakeholders.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with complex datasets, models and analytical tools.
  • Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and take ownership of tasks through to completion.
  • Experience coordinating projects, programmes or stakeholder engagement activities would be advantageous.
  • An interest in offshore renewable energy, international markets and supporting the UK's transition to net zero.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and contribute within a fast-paced and ambitious environment.
Why Join Us?

This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the offshore renewable energy sector, helping shape industry insights and supporting the growth of UK businesses in international markets.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team environment and have the opportunity to work with industry leaders, government stakeholders and renewable energy experts whilst developing your analytical, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
