We are seeking dedicated and motivated qualified professionals to join the Theatre department at the University Hospital Lewisham (UHL).
The operating theatres at UHL provide elective and emergency services 24/7 in various specialties including orthopaedics, colorectal, general, gynaecology, urology, ENT, Paediatrics, Bariatrics, Trauma, CEPOD, and obstetrics.
The post involves ensuring patient safety throughout their journey in theatre, including availability of correct equipment at all times. The Anaesthetic nurse/ODP will provide direct patient care prior to and during anaesthesia, assist anaesthetists, and prepare equipment and monitoring.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient-focused, individualized care based on evidence-based practices. They will carry out aspects of patient care independently, communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the efficient operation of the theatre/department.
