Job summary

Infleqtion seeks an experimental AMO physicist in Oxford to advance inertial sensing technologies. You will work with a team of physicists and engineers on ongoing research, exploring new concepts for future investigations and contributing to project milestones.

You will translate requirements into experimental designs, perform simulations, and help implement testing for quantum devices. A PhD in AMO physics and strong collaboration skills are essential, with flexibility to work across

Qualifications

• PhD in experimental AMO physics with hands-on experience in inertial sensing.
• Proven ability to work with laser systems, optical design, alignment and control.
• Experience with control systems and signal processing; strong Python skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work in cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into atomic system designs and experimental plans.
• Perform modelling, simulation and analytical calculations to meet product performance.
• Design and execute testing and verification plans for quantum devices.
• Integrate complex opto-mechanical systems, electronics, and software into quantum devices.
• Document progress, identify issues and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
