Job summary

Clifford Chance LLP in London seeks a Compliance professional in the Clearance Centre (Business Intake) to assess new and existing clients for AML compliance. You will work with partners and lawyers to ensure due diligence and risk assessments meet regulatory requirements across global practice areas.

You will support monitoring, remediation programs and continuous improvement while leveraging AI tools to increase efficiency. The role offers a balanced hybrid working model in the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to gather and analyse information, applying a methodical and practical approach to problem-solving.
• Knowledge of applicable anti-money laundering regulations.
• Sound commercial awareness and the ability to resolve issues in a pragmatic manner.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and apply critical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the firm.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new processes, systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Advise on whether new and existing clients can be accepted and retained by the firm.
• Assess the risk profile of clients and determine due diligence required for AML purposes.
• Monitor existing clients and update client details.
• Support ongoing monitoring and remediation programmes, including periodic reviews and risk reassessments.
• Escalate issues to senior members of the Clearance Centre when needed.
• Contribute to improving documentation, processes and systems.
