Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a Nurse Educator to lead ambulatory education initiatives, train staff, and drive evidence-based practice across clinical services. You will develop education programs, provide on-site coaching, and mentor frontline staff and management to advance patient care quality.

The role requires a BSN with 5 years clinical experience, expertise in EMR, and experience training adult learners. Certification in ambulatory care nursing is preferred; MSN is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSN with 5 years of recent clinical experience.
• Competent in navigating electronic medical records (EMR).
• Experience training adult learners in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills educator role in ambulatory clinical service areas.
• Leads change initiatives and teams to improve practice.
• Facilitates evidence-based practice and research translation.
• Mentors staff and guides professional development plans.
• Participates in committees and staff orientation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
