Job summary

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust in Leicestershire is seeking an Ambulance Support Team Member to support cleaning and preparation of ambulances and Trust vehicles, ensuring infection control standards and readiness to respond to emergencies.

The role is 22.5 hours per week across three 7.5 hour shifts, with weekend and bank holiday enhancements. A full driving licence and GCSEs are required; NHS Band 2 level with annual salary £25,272 plus weekend uplifts.

Qualifications

• Two GCSEs (Grade C or above) or equivalent – or evidence showing ability to apply knowledge in a structured way.
• Full clean driving licence is required.
• CI Driving Licence preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare ambulances and Trust vehicles to infection control standards.
• Drive ambulances and other Trust vehicles between bases as part of duties.
• Work three 7.5-hour shifts per week between Monday and Sunday; weekends/bank holidays paid at enhanced rates.
• Communicate effectively, work under pressure, and be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
