Job summary

West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Vehicle Preparation Operative at Stafford Hub to join our reserve pool.

You will prepare make-ready for emergency vehicles, ensuring correct stocking, cleanliness, and readiness to meet daily operational needs. The role involves shift work 24/7 including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, with potential initial night-only duties.

Qualifications

• Experience of stock taking.
• Full UK driving licence including full category C1 entitlement.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) with English and Maths.
• Willing to undertake training as required by the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Make ready preparation of vehicles and equipment to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, stocked and roadworthy.
• Assist in vehicle maintenance and provisioning as directed.
• Adhere to Health and Safety at Work and Trust policies.
