Calibre Search advertises a Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor role in South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will join the Commercial Team and work alongside experienced Surveyors and Managers who will guide and mentor as needed.

The position focuses on sites in the region, with opportunities to progress in Quantity Surveying, including cost control, obtaining instructions, and sub-contractor administration as part of the project team.

Responsibilities

• Visit sites across the region to support surveying activities.
• Re-measure all site works.
• Obtain site instructions for additional works.
• Procure sub-contractors.
• Control and administer sub-contract accounts.
• Shadow the QS to learn duties.
• Report on site progress efficiently.
• Liaise with Contracts Management on cost control and all financial matters relating to the Contract.
• Ensure Instructions and Variations are obtained and properly valued.
• Pricing of variations and dayworks.
• Using Microsoft Office packages.
