Job summary

Smith and Western in Royal Tunbridge Wells is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead our team, grow the business and maintain the highest standards across restaurant and bar. You will manage a busy operation, handle ordering and stock, uphold health and safety, and train staff with energy and a friendly touch to ensure every guest leaves with a smile after an exceptional experience.

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Head Chef and Directors, offering excellent progression

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as an Assistant Manager in a branded restaurant environment, with experience of working at high volume, with fresh produce.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and ensure the smooth running of the restaurant and bar, including managing a team, ordering, stock control, health and safety, and upholding high standards across the restaurant.
• Be the go-to person for running this busy restaurant, working closely with the Head Chef and Directors to promptly resolve issues and drive standards and the business forward while ensuring customers have an amazing experience.
