The Woburn Hotel, part of Upham Inns, seeks a Head Chef to helm the kitchen and lead with ambition. This role demands a driven leader who inspires teams, upholds uncompromising standards, and brings creativity and commercial instinct to the kitchen.

As we realign the site, you’ll shape a distinctive food offer, manage stock with minimal waste, and drive a 5-star hygiene standard while delivering exceptional guest dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Excellent culinary and presentation skills.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Head Chef.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic with passion to excel and lead by example.
• Able to manage staff calmly and inspire performance.
• Understand profit margins and stock controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct food preparation to uphold quality and reputation.
• Prepare high quality dishes quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
• Order and control stock, reduce waste.
• Oversee day to day kitchen operations hands-on.
• Lead and mentor chefs and KP's; train and coach.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized; manage allergens.
