Job summary

Compass Group UK, a market-leading food service company in the UK, is recruiting a Chef on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) for Chartwells. This role is contracted to 39.6 weeks per year, with varied shifts, and offers opportunities for progression and development.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about great-tasting food, hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, have experience supervising a team, and possess a Food Hygiene certificate.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening to customer feedback to continuously improve food services.
• Supporting the creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
