Job summary

Affinia, the UK’s fastest growing purpose-led accountancy firm, is recruiting a Bookkeeper for our Harlow office. You will manage full bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, preparing month-end tasks, VAT returns, CIS, and assisting with year-end work alongside our accountants.

Key requirements include AAT qualification or experience-based equivalence, strong IT skills with Xero/Sage/QuickBooks, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients by phone, email and in person.

Qualifications

• Preferably AAT qualified but qualified by experience considered.
• Strong IT and Microsoft abilities.
• Clear written and spoken communication with clients by email, phone and face to face.
• Experience in Xero/Sage and QuickBooks.
• Ability to work towards deadlines and respond to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Month end process.
• Monthly reports including revenue and monthly turnover.
• Credit card receipts.
• Support accountants with year-end with accurate trial balance and reports.
• VAT Returns and CIS returns and ONS Surveys.
