Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd seeks Warehouse Operative/FLT Driver for Bedford Depot. AM shift, 6am–2pm, 40 hours per week on a 5-out-of-7 rota, including weekends. Temperature-controlled environment with premium pay for cold/freezer work and performance tiers.

Role involves replenishment, loading, and order assembly in a busy depot. Training and development offered; includes pension and life insurance benefits. Permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Numerate and literate required.
• Warehousing and distribution experience essential.
• Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment.
• Counterbalance and/or VNA licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Replenish picking fixtures accurately and systematically.
• Label and relabel bulk pallets and adhere to stock rotation.
• Record stock movements on systems or documents.
• Assemble and load customer orders safely and efficiently.
• Transfer bulk stock between goods in and bulk storage areas.
• Load customer orders onto cages/pallets and ensure documents are correct.
• Prepare vehicles prior to loading and manage loading duties.
