Job description

Role: Aluminium Body Builder

Join our Body Build team at Priden Engineering in Wisbech, where we produce a range of aluminium Blowers and Tippers supplied to the UK and European agricultural sectors. Your role involves building aluminium bodies for tipping trailers and rigids using MIG, TIG welding, and fabrication techniques, adhering to engineering documents, drawings, customer specifications, and meeting production targets.

TVS Interfleet is the new home for SB Components, Wilcox Commercial Vehicles, McPhee Mixers, and Priden Engineering. We aim to simplify commercial fleet management by offering multiple bodies and a wide range of Type Approvals, enhancing aftercare and innovation to improve payloads, profitability, and consistency.

Role Responsibilities

The Aluminium Body Builder ensures the accurate fabrication of raw materials into customer-specific end products, following quality control procedures and interpreting complex CAD drawings. All work must comply with Type Approval standards.

Key Duties

1. Check drawings, measurements, and customer specifications prior to fabrication.
2. Implement health and safety policies.
3. Manufacture and assemble parts using jigs and fixtures.
4. Fabricate products according to engineering drawings and standards.

Candidate Profile

This role suits experienced Aluminium Welders/Fabricators who enjoy working on diverse projects within a stable team. Experience with working from drawings and fabricating parts accordingly is essential. Relevant engineering qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
