Job summary

Burnley College Sixth Form Centre is seeking a Lecturer in Additional Learning Support to help learners overcome barriers to learning, enabling high achievement and progression. The post requires a recognised teaching qualification and a degree or equivalent.

You will have knowledge of issues relevant to learners with SEN needs or learning disabilities, with a minimum Level 2 learning support qualification or willingness to work towards. This is an on-site role.

• Experience of supporting learners with SEN needs or learning disabilities/difficulties.
• Minimum Level 2 Learning Support qualification or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge and understanding of barriers to learning and strategies to enable learners to overcome these.
• Support young adults in an education environment to achieve high progression.
• Deliver on-site learning support and contribute to college-wide inclusion and attainment goals.
