Job summary

New Directions Group is seeking an ALN Teaching Assistant for supply opportunities in the St Asaph area. You will support pupils with Additional Learning Needs, helping with learning, development and wellbeing in an inclusive setting.

Candidates with NVQ Level 2/3, HLTA, CACHE Level 3 or BTEC Childhood Studies are encouraged to apply. Experience in primary settings or ALN support is desirable and you will work under teachers to implement IEPs and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications or higher.
• HLTA or CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education considered.
• BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies is welcome.
• Experience in ALN or primary settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction of head teacher and class teachers.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Programmes (IEPs) for students and monitor progress.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation.
• Assist with maintaining student records and supporting pupils with emotional or behavioural needs.
