Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a teacher to support learners with Additional Learning Needs in a specialist secondary setting. Experience with ALN is preferred; Resource Base experience is desirable but not essential.

Job description

Some teaching roles are about delivering lessons. This one is about helping young people believe in themselves.

We're looking for a teacher to support learners with Additional Learning Needs within a specialist setting in a supportive secondary school. The ideal Teacher will have experience working with ALN pupils and, ideally, within a Resource Base environment, although this isn't essential.

We're open to applications from experienced Secondary Teachers, but we'd also love to hear from strong Primary Teachers who have the right approach, adaptability, and passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

This role is initially for one month, with the possibility of continuing beyond this for the right person.

We're looking for someone who understands that progress isn't always measured in grades. Sometimes it's a student contributing in class for the first time, building confidence, regulating their emotions, or developing the skills they need to thrive in school.

You’ll be patient, resilient, and genuinely invested in helping young people succeed. Someone who can build trust, create a calm and engaging learning environment, and celebrate the small wins that often become the biggest achievements.
