Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking a specialist to support balance sheet optimisation within its investment strategy. You will help develop asset structuring solutions, produce business cases, and extend the MA portfolio with rigorous analyses across departments.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the Balance Sheet Optimisation model, with Python and Julia, and ensuring governance and documentation. A Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent) and knowledge of Solvency

Qualifications

• Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Solvency II regulations and the Matching Adjustment.
• Understanding of insurance balance sheets, capital requirements and rating methodologies for structured assets.
• Experience in asset and liability management within an insurance context.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of business cases for asset structuring solutions to support the annuity investment strategy.
• Expand the MA portfolio through analyses and stakeholder engagement across departments.
• Contribute to the Balance Sheet Optimisation model design, including Python and Julia development.
• Engage with AGC governance and documentation and present progress to senior stakeholders.
