Job description

Since first partnering as BFK in 2010 to deliver key Crossrail contracts, the team has also worked together on the Silvertown Tunnel, HS2 Enabling Works (Fusion JV), the HS2 central Main Works Contract (EKFB), and is now delivering track infrastructure across the full HS2 route.

We are now recruiting for an Alliance Configuration Management Engineer to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project and represent us at alliance level. The Rail Systems Alliance structure is designed to manage interfaces, develop common ways of working and resolve any program conflicts with other parties. The alliance informs members how to work together on design, access, resources, and logistics to achieve shared goals for cost and schedule.

Provide assurance that impacts to cost, schedule, safety and performance are appropriately assessed and that changes are reviewed, approved and documented before implementation.
  • Configuration Status Accounting: Define and oversee the configuration status accounting approach across alliance members, ensuring configuration records, registers and revision histories are maintained consistently, remain auditable and provide visibility of current configuration status.
  • Verification and Audit: Establish assurance requirements and support audits, inspections and quality reviews to confirm that approved configurations are being implemented correctly and remain compliant with HS2 standards and contractual requirements.
  • Information and Digital Management: Coordinate the integration of configuration management with BIM and digital engineering processes. Promote consistent control of documentation, models and asset information and support development of the Asset Information Model for handover.
  • Governance and Process Development: Develop, maintain and continuously improve alliance-wide configuration management procedures aligned with HS2 and Rail Systems Alliance requirements. Support governance forums, assurance activities and cross-contract issue resolution.
