Berenberg in London is seeking an Algorithmic Trading Engineer to join our Innovation & Technology department. You will design and build high-performance Java engines for trading algo orders, develop real-time trading systems, and contribute to strategy design alongside building desktop tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong Java engineer with experience in real-time server code.
• Solid understanding of Equity market trading in Europe.
• Ability to design and build high-quality real-time trading engines.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach when working with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory environment relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality Java engines for trading algo orders and liquidity seeking.
• Develop algorithmic trading engines, associated strategies and supporting desktop tooling.
• Contribute to algo strategy design and build-out of real-time trading engines.
• Build real-time trading desktops using React.
• Develop data analytics, storage and processing capabilities.
