As our Alcohol Substance Misuse Nurse based in Rotherham, you will provide a range of health and wellbeing, and harm reduction interventions to our clients, in accordance with the service delivery model. You will deliver high standards of nursing care to substance misusers and be responsible for assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs.
You will advocate for our clients, working closely with them to identify their physical, psychological, spiritual, and social support needs. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care in various settings, promoting health and wellbeing while maintaining a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment. You will participate as an active member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary teams, working in partnership with other healthcare professionals, psycho-social case managers, patients, and others.
The role also includes hospital liaison duties, administering vaccinations and medications, and conducting health screenings such as phlebotomy, BBV screening, monitoring vital signs, withdrawal scales, and treatment compliance during detoxification.
Please note, this is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2026. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
