As our Alcohol Substance Misuse Nurse in Rotherham, you will provide a range of health and wellbeing, harm reduction, and intervention services to our clients, according to the service model. You will deliver high standards of nursing care to substance misusers, assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs.
You will advocate for clients, working closely with them to identify their physical, psychological, spiritual, and social support needs. The role requires flexible working across various settings, promoting health and wellbeing while maintaining a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, accountable for your practice, and collaborate with other health professionals, psycho-social case managers, patients, and others involved in care delivery.
The role also includes hospital liaison duties, administering vaccinations and medications, and conducting health screenings such as phlebotomy, BBV screening, vital signs monitoring, withdrawal scales, and treatment compliance during detoxification.
Please note, this is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026, with working hours Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
