SmartRecruiters, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced AIX SMEs to lead hands-on installation and provisioning of Power 8, replacing Power 7. You will configure HMC, create partitions, and install VIOS for a large SAP deployment environment in the UK.

The role focuses on migration techniques, LPM, and Enterprise Pools setup (where applicable), working on migration design and build services for a major enterprise client.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on installation and provisioning of Power 8
• Experience with IBM AIX environments and migration paths
• Understanding migration techniques and best practices

Our Client Currently have Power 7 mainly and this is being replaced with Power 8. They are running SAP on this environment and it is the largest SAP deployment of Power on the planet. The project is to provide design and build services and the customer will complete the migration phase.

What type of candidates are we looking for;

2 - 4 x AIX SME's -

Hands on installation and provisioning of Power 8

• Setup of HMC
• Setup with Enterprise Pools (Not mandatory)
• Creation of Partitions
• Installation of VIOS
• Understand LPM and other Migration techniques
