Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. seeks a Site Manager for the Luton Airport Consolidation Centre to lead a dynamic, 8-hour shift from early morning to early afternoon. You will ensure safe, compliant site operations, manage goods receipt and despatch, and oversee security and warehouse standards within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Site Manager role in logistics, ideally within an airport consignment centre.
• Strong leadership, team management and performance improvement.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including budget management.
• Excellent decision-making and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and IT skills, with emphasis on Health & Safety.
• IOSH qualification desirable; GXO supports relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient running of the site operation
• Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in goods receiving and despatching goods in line with the agreed schedule
• Management of legal and operational compliance for the department
• Oversee operational and legal compliance, including aviation security requirements and warehouse standards
• Organising available resources to maximise effectiveness of the operation
• Management, control, and reporting of all costs, KPIs and operational statistics within budget
• Effective communication with the customer and internal colleagues
• Monitoring and maintaining all written security check records to ensure compliance, scheduling random checks and addressing any deficiencies that arise
