Job summary

Gatwick Airport Limited is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join the Engineering Control Centre, coordinating on-site maintenance and emergencies to ensure safe, efficient airport operations. Deputise for the Engineering Operations Manager as needed.

Role requires strong leadership, knowledge of electrical systems and a solid understanding of airport engineering operations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Leadership in fast-paced operations.
• Strong health and safety standards and regs.
• Experience with Safe Systems of Work and compliance.
• Knowledge of airport engineering operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-shift control of the GAL/UKPNS 33kV network.
• Coordinate permits and work requests per policy.
• Manage engineers and technicians to ensure stable operations.
