Optime Group, aviation recruitment experts, seeks an experienced Baggage Handler Colleague to join the team at Luton Airport for the upcoming winter season. The position is 30 hours per week with overtime opportunities, starting 16 November 2026.

You will process luggage, operate ground support equipment, and work airside and in the Undercroft baggage unit. A full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points is mandatory. Training is provided; temp-to-perm is performance-based.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (mandatory).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Five-year fully checkable reference history.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC).
• Fit to lift up to 32 KG.

Responsabilités

• Process luggage and load/unload for aircraft with correct weight distribution.
• Work airside and in the baggage unit (Undercroft).
• Lift luggage up to 32 kg regularly as part of duties.
• Coordinate with ramp agents and airline personnel during turnaround.
• Operate equipment: mobile stairs, belt loaders, buggies, and tugs.
