Job summary

Airbus is offering a 12.5-month internship in Advanced Capabilities for Digital Airframe at Filton, Bristol. You will join the Applied AI Methods & Services team, developing digital tools and AI-enabled solutions for airframe engineering in a collaborative, international setting.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Data Science/CS/Software Engineering/Aerospace Eng/Applied Math with interest in AI/ML, data prep and visualization, and programming (Python, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, opencv,

Qualifications

• CV and Cover Letter required with motivation and suitability.
• Undergraduate student for whole duration of placement.
• Studies in Data Science, CS, SWE, Aerospace Eng, Applied Math, or equivalent.
• Interest in AI/ML; data prep, visualization, statistics.
• Some programming skills: Python, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, opencv, tensorflow, pandas, pyspark.

Responsibilities

• Develop Process, Method and Tools initiatives for engineering development and quality.
• Investigate data to solve problems and attend meetings.
• Provide coaching, sessions, benchmarks, validation and performance tests.
• Develop innovative digital solutions with experts and specialists.
• Collaborate with Airbus community and support Airframe processes and digital solutions.
