Job summary

Belcan Engineering is seeking an experienced Airframe Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our Airframe Engineering team, supporting one of the UK's leading aerospace programmes. This role is based at Samlesbury on-site, with a 12-month contract within Inside IR35, focusing on rapid problem solving on the build line and ensuring conformance with airworthiness and programme requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in airframe manufacturing and build processes.
• Experience in production and design environments.
• Experience with Design Assurance activities.
• Knowledge of aircraft structures and airworthiness.
• Proficient in BOMs and technical documentation.
• 3D modelling and drawing interpretation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support to the aircraft build line.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing and assembly issues.
• Assess concessions, waivers, and non-conformance queries.
• Support Design Assurance activities to meet design intent and certification requirements.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and production teams.
• Create and review engineering documentation and BOMs.
• Support installation, assembly, and modification activities on structures.
• Perform root cause investigations to minimise build disruptions.
• Drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
