Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Civil Engineer to support airfield engineering projects across the UK and internationally. The role involves preparing technical reports and ensuring deliverables meet targets.

Ideal candidates should hold a degree in civil engineering and have experience in delivering civil engineering projects. Knowledge of design standards and proficiency with AutoCAD or similar software are advantageous.

Qualifications

• University degree in civil engineering, construction, design or related discipline.
• Experience delivering civil engineering projects (aviation optional).
• Knowledge of international airfield design standards preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and plan effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications for projects.
• Identify and manage design risks, issues, and RFIs.
• Ensure deliverables meet cost, quality, and time targets.
• Champion health and safety practices and compliance.
• Support Project Managers with project controls and documentation.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Team player who collaborates

Ability to work under pressure

Knowledge of design standards (ICAO, CAA, EASA, FAA)

Education

University degree in civil engineering or related discipline
