Job summary

JMC Aviation is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker in Cranleigh, Surrey. The role focuses on fabricating, repairing and reworking aircraft sheet metal parts at a workshop, with occasional airside duties. You will follow approved drawings and repair data to high standards.

The ideal candidate has aircraft sheet metal experience, can read engineering drawings, and demonstrates strong attention to detail and safety. DBS clearance and airport vetting may be required for airside access.

Qualifications

• Aircraft sheet metal experience is essential.
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Flexibility to work across different business units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair aircraft sheet metal parts and structural components to drawings and approved repair data.
• Form, cut, drill, rivet and finish sheet metal to the required standard.
• Inspect your own work and complete work cards and records accurately.
• Keep tools, equipment and the work area clean, safe and in good order.
• Work safely and follow workshop procedures at all times.
• Carry out airside work from time to time.
