Job summary

Airbus at Filton is seeking a Quality Conformance Engineer to own quality improvement activity, analyse performance trends and reduce the cost of non-quality in a complex manufacturing setting.

You will work with lineside quality, functional and multifunctional teams to identify and implement improvements, lead quality projects and maintain standards across the plant. Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills are essential; aircraft quality experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality conformance, quality engineering or related manufacturing environment.
• Strong data analysis skills; able to interrogate datasets and present information via graphs/spreadsheets.
• Experience working with and leading multifunctional teams.
• Knowledge of APQP, errorproofing and other manufacturing quality techniques.
• Aircraft manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse quality data, produce KPIs and identify trends to support improvements.
• Collaborate with lineside quality, functional and multifunctional teams to identify and implement improvements.
• Lead Quality Improvement Projects with clear ownership and action tracking.
• Identify emerging issues that could affect quality or operations and escalate as needed.
• Coach manufacturing teams in quality tools and processes, including problem-solving techniques.
• Create and monitor surveillance and inspection criteria to maintain standards.
• Ensure environmental, health and safety, and airworthiness requirements are met.
• Provide quality support to customers and authorities when required.
