Job summary

Bombardier’s London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is seeking an aircraft mechanic to contribute to base and line maintenance activities. You will adhere to MOE, follow safety policies, and perform tasks from maintenance data under supervision, while documenting work and reporting defects to ensure maintenance standards are met.

The role requires civil maintenance experience, knowledge of Part-66 Appendix I, Part-145, EWIS, human factors, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Civil maintenance experience is required.
• Basic knowledge of Appendix I to Part-66.
• Basic knowledge of Part-145.
• Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL where relevant.
• Understanding of human factors and performance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Clear written and verbal communication of task status.
• Ability to use standard and special tools and operate ground support equipment.
• Ability to work with maintenance data and notify defects.
• Ability to identify and rectify unsafe conditions.
• Understanding of critical tasks.
• Basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Maintenance Organization Procedures (MOE) and applicable work instructions.
• Comply with Environmental/Health/Safety policies; participate in 5-S; work safely and timely.
• Perform and document work per maintenance data (aircraft manuals).
• Identify defective components with Material Return Form.
• Order parts in SAP.
• Carry out maintenance tasks under supervision and notify defects to re-establish standards.
• Report discrepancies.
• Process removed, uninstalled and rejected parts.
• Correct defects under supervision.
• Report maintenance errors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
